Door flink te investeren in een volledig elektrisch wagenpark, door duurzame kantoorhuisvesting en door compensatie via Ecotree is onze bedrijfsvoering al in 2025 volledig CO2-neutraal.’
Duurzaam advies
Om eraan bij te dragen de wereld een betere plek te maken, heeft bbn zich geïdentificeerd met zes van de zeventien Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) van de Verenigde Naties. Voor deze SDG’s verwacht bbn de meeste impact te kunnen maken via de circa 400 projecten die het adviesbureau jaarlijks start in opdracht van gemeenten, beleggers, ontwikkelaars en onderwijs- en zorgorganisaties. In het kort komt het erop neer dat bbn al deze opdrachtgevers wil overtuigen om 100 % duurzame energie te gebruiken, om projecten circulair te maken en om bij bouwplannen mens, natuur en dier een duidelijke plek te geven.
Meetbaar maken
Dit overtuigen lukt door de kennis en ervaring van bbn met het doorrekenen van de kosten en opbrengsten van duurzame ambities. Zo heeft bbn bij de sloop van het raadhuis van Haarlemmermeer de gemeente geholpen bij het organiseren en meetbaar maken van een circulaire aanbesteding van de ontmanteling van het gebouw. En bij de plannen van woningcorporatie Rijswijk Wonen en ontwikkelaar Synchroon heeft bbn met rekenmodellen inzicht kunnen geven in de financiële gevolgen van verduurzamingsopties als groene daken, circulariteit, houtbouw en energieverbruik.
Klimaatakkoord
Balvers: ‘Dit is voor de tweede keer dat we een Jaarverslag Duurzaamheid publiceren. Het is een belangrijk hulpmiddel gebleken om onze duurzame ambities scherp te stellen en zo onze doelen te realiseren. Uiteindelijk willen we op deze manier vanuit de bouwsector een belangrijke positieve bijdrage leveren aan het Klimaatakkoord en aan een volledig circulaire economie in 2050.’
